It looks like they're keeping the 22 and 24" length for the lite threaded models. Which means they're worthless. Still have to cut and thread them.
The only shorter threaded barrels are in the roughtech line which means you have to pay ~$500 extra to get it done properly. Cheaper to buy whatever is cheapest and get it chopped and threaded. Or even just throw the whole barrel away and get exactly what you want.

That is unfortunate. I am just getting into the suppressor scene, so I have no experience toting one around. I ordered a threaded 24 inch 25-06 I am planning to put a 6-inch suppressor on. I know it is going to be a flag pole, but I am hoping the folding stock will make it manageable on the pack. My next project was putting together a 20 inch 223 with a suppressor. I wonder how much many people would notice the extra two inches.

My Tikkas I posted the picture of are now 20.5 inches long and it was roughly $160 for the chop, thread, bushing and shipping.

If the threaded Tikka 223 is 22 inches I think I will try it out first. If the length ends up bothering me, I can always chop it later. Have fun with your new gun, I am excited to get one put together!

I'm not interested in 22" or 24" threaded barrels either. I'm counting on shorter barrel models being introduced. The 16" 223s that have been added recently seem to indicate an awareness of demand for shorter barrels. It looked like there were some new 20" SKUs on the MGW site as well. In the meanwhile I'll continue to have mine cut and threaded.

Not a Tikka but my Howa is 22” and I run a can. I haven’t tried 24” with a can but 24” would be absolute max.

Got my T3X Lite last month. Came with threaded barrel. I had the option for he 20" barrel but chose the 22.4" barrel.

Does the barrel measure an inch short?

The threaded 20” rifles that I saw from last year had barrels that actually measure 19”. (Did not measure inside to breach face)

In your head.

We can only hope someday. They are just now coming out with a 7PRC...nearly two years after everyone else.
How long did it take them to come out with 6.5cm? Such a bummer sako tikka so slow to respond, they miss a lot of sales. No one watching the market to get ahead? Or just wait for all the bitching then finally come around? Weird business model.

Did anyone ask them if they would chamber xs length actions for the Grendel/Arc family?

A 90 peak in those x39 case cartridges please. I figured I may be off to my next life before that ever happened so bought a standard short action cartridge to have the rifle I wanted for as long as I could.

And you guys think swfa and rokstok are long wait times? Sako...hold my beer
