Tikka

I’ve owned several Tikkas in various trims and I will say, the Lites and Superlites in harder kicking cartridges require really good form to shoot little groups. I would ask a friend that is a good shot to try it out and see if they get the same results. It might not be the rifle.

Shot these two groups today. This was after 5 boxes at the range throughout the summer in my factory T3X lite in 7prc with an omega 300 can… Hornady CX on left and Barnes LRX on right. This has been the best group I’ve gotten out of theCX ammo, and I’ve loved every round I’ve shot of the LRX. Shot 175 eldx and 180 eldm and it liked both as well. Maybe it’s just a dud??

Did it ever tighten up for you? I’m about to pull the trigger on a superlite in 7prc, but i plan to throw it in an MDT field stock.
Never could get it to consistently shoot a 1” group or better at 100yds. I shot it suppressed, with a brake and straight barrel. Tried Hornady ELDX,Federal ELDX and Federal tipped fusion. Average group would be 2” or more. Every so often there would be a group that would make it to the 1” mark. Hated to do it but I traded it in towards a Bergara been happy since.

I’ve chewed on a tikka 7 prc as well but then I think back on some past experiences.

I’m sure I’ll get some negative feedback for this but the 7mm tikka bores (7-08 and 7 rem mag) are by far the most underwhelming factory tikka barrels I’ve encountered. They seem to have the .243, .264 and .308 barrels dialed regardless of cartridge. The .224, .257, .277 and .338 barrels fall in between.

Wow that’s a very vague 1st post for someone who’s been a member since 2021. Ban hammer on isle 5?
