Tikka triggertech

I really like TriggerTech triggers for Rem 700's and AR's. They are a big improvement over factory triggers. But imo, the only thing needed for my Tikka rifles is a trigger spring replacement. They have really good triggers.

Ive done the spring for mine, but run a diamond on my zermatt and like to run a light trigger (still safe). But i like how clean a triggertech breaks

They gonna make a 2 stage? That's the main thing that could be "upgraded" on a Tikka. I'd have to have a TT and a factory Tikka side by side to be able to tell the difference at 2-3-ish lbs hunting weights.

This is also my hope. I just prefer 2 stage, and I’m not a huge timney fan

Same. 2 stage is the right number of stages. I have Rem 700s with both the single and 2 stage Trigger tech. The single, feels a lot like a Tikka, which is to say, damn fine. But that TT 2 stage feels like home.

Edit to add: a Tikka is my main hunting rifle, for like 20 some years now. The 700s are fun, and love the aftermarket for them, super easy to hot rod for fun and fair weather hunting, but Tikka is still my main business rifle.

By all accounts this will be a single stage... big miss by Triggertech, IMO.

Hope they still get enough interest they release a 2 stage.

Have you guys checked out the KRG Midas?
I've looked at it online. Tempted to get one, but they are pricey, and I've had enough misadventures with supposedly awesome 2 stage triggers that I personally thought were straight up ass (cough, Geissele, cough), that it makes me leery to put down my cash on one.

Giessele AR or Bolt triggers?

Giessele AR or Bolt triggers?
Both - SSA-E on the AR platform, and the Super 700 on a Rem 700. On both triggers, the 2nd stage is too light in comparison to the 1st stage. The Super 700 was/is adjustable, but there seemed to be some inter-dependence between the 1st and 2nd stage adjustments, so that no matter what I did, 2nd stage was always too light for me to safely run it under field conditions. I contacted Geissele and asked, and reading between the lines of their response, they basically said that 'yeah, we think it is better that way, so thats how we make em'. I later wound up with a SSA-E in a trade deal, and it has the same feel - I have to be super-careful when pulling the trigger up to the wall or it'll go bang unintentionally for me.

I've got a TriggerTech 2 stage on a Rem 700 that I like a lot (though I did have to crank up the 2nd stage adjustment heavier by a fair bit), and a LaRue MBT-2S on any AR gun is golden to me. I also like old Mauser and Lee Enfield 2 stage's. I want enough tension on stage 1 to engage all the muscles I'm going to use to fire (1 to 2 lbs is good), and I want stage 2 to be enough more than stage one when I'm sitting at the wall so I won't accidentally set it off while I'm taking careful aim once I've taken up stage 1 (usually that's about 2lbs or so more than whatever stage 1 is).
