Actaully i thought vertical grip or pistol would be the way to go. Something I can wrap my hands around.

Also I am talking Tikka T3, the light ones. I have not handled anything else.
The T3 stock is a lot different than the newer T3x stock. I tried the vertical grip and the wide forend. Okay on the range from a bench rest, but out in the field the grip is too fat to be comfortable especially with gloves on. The forend has a nice big hole in the front where snow, water and mud goes. I took that crap off. Anybody want to buy those...the color is coyote brown.

There is simply no comparing a Tikka to a CA Mesa. I have had long break in periods with both my Mesa and Ridgeline. The stock, trigger, and everything else about the Mesa make it a better rifle overall. I sold my Ridgeline, but I will never part with the Mesa in 6.5. I shoot hand loads and will admit I have yet to find a factory round my Mesa likes. Have had incredible luck with hammer bullets. I believe I am using the 124 gr hammer hunter at the moment.

Between my son and I we both each have a 6.5 creed mesa. His will shoot Nosler factory 120gr Ballistic tips into 1” groups at 200 yards, and mine will do the same with Hornady eldx or Nosler 140 BT ammo.

Haven’t had much time to handload for either rifle yet, but with factory ammo shooting that good I might not.

I don't know what year it was made, but it was sheld a couple weeks ago, and felt just as hollow. Which I realize is in my head.

Interesting. For me I just never shoot factory. Certain pride to it maybe. Its been years since I shot factory ammo.

I was a little concerned I may have to buy factory loads to get the brass.
