Based off of the almost 20 page thread in the long range forum, I think they'll work great. I dont have any worries with the moderate velocity of the creedmoor. I hope to contribute to that thread with my experience.
Now to decide which one to keep. Both are nice rifles. The SL is about 2.5oz lighter but not likely to accept threads. The standard t3x will thread 1/2-28 and lose 4-8" of barrel which should be 4-8oz. The question is can she go on a diet and get closer to a Kimber?

Yeah, why? I have a SL in 7mm-08 thats threaded 1/2-28. It’s a 22 3/8” barrel and I didn’t lose any barrel length by threading. Not sure why the 24” barrel would be that different as the flute length on the two barrels are the same, as is the diameter.why?

because i'll be cutting into the fluted portion and want a solid shoulder. if i were cutting less than 4" off then i could still thread it.
