You shouldn’t be forcing your cheek into the rifle, just using the stock to your cheek as a point of reference. Cranking your head over makes you more likely to force the stock down while also forcing your eye to strain more as you look upwards. The trajectory thing will change a bit, but not enough to make a difference.
