Tikka T3x Bolt Handle Removal {RESOLVED}

I just received my T3x action back from UM after machining/fluting/nitride. It looks amazing. One small issue. The bolt handle is installed within the bolt body but the firing pin is not. I have no idea how to remove the bolt handle to get everything back together. Does anyone know how I can do this? Would really appreciate any assistance.

Hey thanks for the reply but this method only works when the firing pin is installed with the bolt handle, for my situation this doesn't help. I use this method normally but at the moment, I am stumped

It should just pull right out. Without the FP assembly in place there's nothing to hold the handle on.

For some reason, it is extremely secure in there. Does not appear to be removable in its current state. Any ideas?

It's possible that what UM did changes how it comes loose - I simply don't know - but I do know that on my 595 I went decades without disassembling the bolt and she was a bit tight to pull the handle out, the first time I did it.

Put simply, give it a shot of lube then wiggle it just a little bit.

No pulling or lubrication seems to do anything at all...

A little rubber mallet action did resolve the issue. I think the coating made the surfaces slightly tighter causing the stuck handle. Thanks for the help all. Leaving this up incase it helps someone else
