Atlasworxs AICS bottom metal arrived last week and Im looking at installing it in a standard T3x poly stock. As stated on the website, it will require some inletting to fit. Interested to hear from those that have gone to work with a dremel on their stocks to get this DBM to fit. My dremel skills are not great, seems like it would end up being an ugly-azz inlet.

Any hot tips before I start?

Don't do it! Lol, I just got the DBM for an AICS from Pacific for my 700 a couple months ago. Looked at doing it myself, ended up taking it to a smith. He said it was kind of a pain. It has to sit at just the right depth/angle so the magazine lines up with the bolt and feeds correctly. I don't have a T3 stock, but on mine it was more than just inletting, it was fitting.

Yeah, I haven't decided exactly what to do yet, but it requires more effort than I was expecting. I may just end up ordering a McMillan with M5 inlet.

I have a heavy varmint barrel and a Boyd hardwood laminate thumbhole stock. I had the gunsmith glass/pillar bed and inlet the bottom metal and it cost me $300. Sold my original base plate for $120 on Ebay for that offset some of it. Those McMillans are nice.
