Picked up a new tikka t3x in 300wsm and don't hand load so trying to find the best factory loads that people have been using recently. Primary for deer/elk less than 500yds. Understand each rifle can be different but it looks like the 165g ttsx or 180g nosler trophy accubonds might be the best options? Any thoughts and pros/cons on those two options or any other suggestions?

300wsm ain’t cheap, which is why I reload. Stick with known killers that at more affordable, and practice more. 178 eldx does trick. The AB’s are just too expensive.

My Tikka in 300wsm loved factory Nosler 180 Accubonds. I didn't try too much in it before I started reloading, but those 180s were sub-moa and dropped a buck pronghorn where he stood. As far as reloading has gone, its shot everything I've tried, has not been picky at all.

-Nosler 180 AB shoots pretty well in my Tikka but it is significantly more than other options. -Norma Bondstrike is a similar bullet to the AB and can be found much cheaper. Shoots acceptably well in my rifle. It’s killed a few moose out of my rifle, no issues. Depending on the lot it has shot really well. I’m on the last box of 140 rounds I bought for the brass when I bought the rifle. I’ve dialed this to 600 yards and not missed gongs 12” and under with an adjusted BC that is pretty well agreed upon.
-Federal loaded 200 ELDX has done very well. I’ve shot 10 round groups at or under an inch. Speed is good and I’ve shot to 750 yards along side my reloaded Berger 200.20x and not seen a huge difference in hit %.
-Hornady loaded 200 ELDX doesn’t shoot as well as the federal and is about 100 fps slower. Doesn’t shoot terrible and is well under 1.5” but now great either.

i have a 300wsm tikka but swapped to a 24" proof carbon prefit barrel. 200g eldx either hornady or fed shoot well and should be just fine for deer.

i shot some federal 200g terminal ascent and have berger 185 hybrid hunters to try out for elk. the TA shot well for me. i've read enough pro and con on the eldx, to not use the eldx for elk.

with the factory barrel, i got two elk back in 2020 using the fed 180 trophy bonded tips, but seems they're out of production now.
