Tikka T3X .243 Win 1-8" Twist

Do these rifles even truly exist? I have not been able to find a distributor that even lists them as an option, much less show them in stock. Are they new and not out yet, or discontinued and gone?

Almost all of the T3X models are available with an 8 twist barrel in .243 now. It’s usually easier to find one of the “premium” models with 8 twist in stock lately. Ember, veil, super varmint, etc.

J and A Outdoors has had Tikka take off barrels in stock usually. Most are brand new. They are good about listing full specs and you can call them.

I ordered a 1-8 243 last week. should arrive tuesday. Just a standard stainless t3x.

They exist. My girlfriend bought one in march. It’s somewhat picky. It didn’t like Barnes but liked hammer hunters.

Get 100ish rounds through it and see how it does with 95 SSTs and 108 ELDMs. Both are excellent shooting and killing bullets out my my Tikka .243 barrels.

It has about 100 rounds through it. Unfortunately we’re in California otherwise it would have been eldm’s from the start.

I found a few for sale recently but went with a custom 700 action instead and a 6 creed barrel. They're definitely out there. I haven't looked for the Veil model though so can't help there. However, you can take the lite version and get it threaded for less than you'd have into the Veil.

Bass Pro/Cabelas has their D-18 available in 243 with the 8-twist barrel.
