Have 2, blued 6.5x55 and stainless 338-06. I am the original owner of the 6.5x55 and it was originally a hunter version. Bought the plastic stock and painted it FASAT. The metal is not painted. Has a leupold VX2 3-9x40 in talley lightweights and a limbsaver pad. Killed 2 bucks with it in 2017 and drug it around a few days rifle season this year. Excellent condition with 120ish rounds through it. $850 shipped

The 338-06 was originally a 30-06 and was rebored by JES. Very lightweight thumper. Also has a leupold VX2 3-9x40 in talley lightweights and a limbsaver. This has been my main rifle the last 3 seasons. It is in excellent condition and has 80-100 rounds through it since the rebore. I absolutely love this rifle, but I feel like it may be just a bit much for whitetail. $950 shipped SPF

Whats the 338/06 shoot?

It shot hornady interlock 225’s well and it shot hornady interlock 250’s decent. It may be sold on another forum already though.
