I have a Tikka T3x Roughneck in 7mm rem mag. Would I be able to just purchase and swap a 7 PRC barrel and be ready to shoot? I like the 7's. Just looking to go shorter barrel with the can.

Consider 7 saum also. Buddy just did that with his. Bought a 7 saum carbon 6 barrel and installed on his action. 20" barrel and shoots lights out.

7 SAUM or 7 WSM will give you better seating depth flexibility with very little, if any, loss in velocity.

Edit: if you reload. 7PRC is your best option for factory ammo

Yes…any of the 7s with the exception of the 284 win and 280AI which need a boltaface of 473. A 7 PRC, just swap barrels and shoot!

Thats just it. I dont reload. Otherwise I'd really like the 7 SAUM idea
