Tikka T3 Stock Weight?

I've read conflicting reports as to what the factory stocks weigh on the T3's for the long action cartridges like .270 and 30-06. Anyone weigh one on a postal scale?

I'm trying to determine how much weight could be dropped by replacing the factory stock with a McMillan Edge. Thank you!

I’ve done the Edge for factory on 2 or 3 T3’s and you save 2-3 oz.
IMO not worth it.

Thats true - you don't really shave off that much weight but IMHO you end up with a much nicer hunting rifle. I sure like how my Suplerlite turned out in a Hunters Edge stock, was worth it to me anyway.

I have 3 factory T3X stocks and actually just weighed all 3 the other night. JollyRoger is spot on as they all came in at 28oz.

If you want to reduce weight on the Tikka stock, wildcat composites in Alberta is the company to talk to. I believe their sporter version is 19oz or something like that.

The Edge won’t change your rifle weight much, it will shave some weight off your wallet though.
