Anyone have a good suggestion for a stock I can buy for a tanka action and proof barrel size?

AG Composites or AllTerra both make fantastic stocks IMO. I have a 270 tikka I out in an Allterra stock and I have a 300 win in an AG Composites stock with carbon fiber barrel.

Grayboe just finished their mold for their Tikka inlet in the their Phoenix stock. I don't have mine yet but adjustable cheek piece, mlok slots, 4 QD sockets and pillars installed at 32oz is impressive.

Well I guess that's a question for OP, are you looking at chassis or just stocks? Chassis (like the KRG mention above) are more likely to be readily available because they don't care what your barrel contour is.

IMO, custom stocks are worth the wait. I have two McMillans for my Tikkas and I really like them. I think they took 3-4 months. What's the big hurry, OP?

Trying to have by October, luckily called up Mesa precision and they are running 3-4 month turn around right now so I’m gonna go that route. They seem like a good company and have a good product

About all your going to find in stock is a chassis.

Manners or mcmillan would be my preference not impressed with the Mesa. Your gona wait for them though.

Curious to hear about the Phoenix from those who ordered. Seems like a nice setup for 500 bucks. Considering one for my t1x.

Mesa is not running that 4-6 week turnaround currently would be my guess. The last one I ordered late spring was about 3 months I believe. Doubt they are getting faster right now. Worth the wait, but probably not happening by October. Grind out a factory stock while you wait if you already have the barrel. I have a t3x varmint stock that I opened for a big contour if you’re interested.

Yeah I called the guy today and he said he was doing better than the 4-6 weeks and said it should be 3-4 week turnaround

I ordered one in the spring with 3-4 wk estimate, showed up wk 4. Liked it so much I ordered another mid summer with 4-6 wk estimate, showed up wk 4. Gunsmith started my build last week and said they inletted the barrel channel for the wrong profile, called Mesa and the new corrected one should be there Mon. Nothing but good experiences with them so far.
