The only real difference between t3 and t3x besides the stocks is a slightly bigger ejection port.

Like eightyeight mag said about the ejection port, you could send the action to Uknown have them open it up and do the lightning mods. Drops 4oz I think and looks pretty sick.

I have put together these two Tikkas using Unknowns action mods, and other parts. Really like the way they came together, and they both shoot amazingly well.

I'm considering building my tikka as well, I'm just in search for a magnum bolt to swap before dropping $500 or more. I don't have a smith around me to open it up and can't just scrap the rifle because it has my name engraved into the action

You can send the bolt to Unknown to have it opened up, or there’s a couple places online that can do it as well. Can’t remember their names…. But I think it was about $150 or so to have it done.

I'm definitely considering that, I just wonder about what the turnaround time would be like. That is looking like the most viable option though.

There are bolt swap threads up on the classifieds pretty regularly. Most folks seem to work it out pretty quickly.
