Thinking about building a 6.5 saum on a tikka action. Anyone had any luck running the saum cases in the 6.5 prc 4 round magazine? I know the saum cases don’t fit well in the standard magnum magazine.

I use the HCA mags in my 7 SAUM as well. Tikka PRC mags weren't a thing when I built it. They work well with the 175/180 class bullets loaded to 3.1ish COAL but do not feed well with 145 CEB lazers at just under 3.0" COAL.

Looking forward to hearing what others have to say as it might be a good option for my shorter light bullet ammo. Id think the 6 UM users experience around here would extrapolate well to what OP is looking to do?

I use the factory 4 round PRC mags for my 6 UM. They work pretty well. Sometimes the follower will tip weird and get stuck. But that's only an issue when loading the mags. Never an issue in the field.

I use the short action MDT 6.5 PRC 3rd mags with a 7 SAUM and they work well enough in short action.

When in a long action mdt chassis the .300 long action mags do well.
