Put together a folder chassis setup for my Tikka to give it a shot. Decided I prefer a traditional stock so sending this on it's way.

Never shot Excellent coniditon..(one or two small nicks in the anondizing.some minor scuffs too see pics. Just bolted my 20in Tikka in it for a bunch of dry fire and 1 dayhunt.

In my tikka 223 20in barrel no mag with sportsmatch to84s and SWFA 20 oz scope whole rifle weighed 8lbs 9 oz.

Includes: (pricing new)
Ultradyne UD5 anodized SA Tikka chassis (22oz) with full length arca. includes recoil lug and action screws $370
XLR smoke carbon lightwieght buttstock (this is the shorter 12.5 so you get a LOP around 13.75-14 with the folder.) $399
XLR Smoke lightweight bag rider $49
XLR push button folder $145
B5 P22 AR grip (can use any AR grip this one is 1.9 oz) $20
I added a small pic rail $10
(does not include mlok qd sling cup shown in a few of the pics)

this setup with taxes and shipping is over 1000$ new

My price shipped is 850$ tyd.

Lots of adjustability, you can swap a tr2 buttstock on this same chassis to get 10.5 to 14 LOP which is would make an excellent option for a youth

If you wanted a Tikka XLR type folder setup without waiting 6 months, this make an excellent alternative

Do you have a weight on just the chassis?

42 oz
Breaks down roughly to
Chassis 22oz, buttstock 12 oz bag rider 1oz folder 5oz grip 2 oz

The lightest possible XLR magnesium Tikka Short action folder build (they have a calculator on their site) will be 38oz, and to save 4oz you have to spend another $400 (and wait 6months). The Tikka XLR SA is 19 oz, their smoke carbon grip saves 1 more oz. To me that wasn't worth it which is how I ended up with this build

This folder is much better than the hnt26 imo. It folds past parallel so you can get it a little tighter to your pack and it's a lot quieter when opening than the hnt26. The tensioner adjusts perfectly too so if I carried it folded just by the forened it would stay folded.

@teamsprock Yes you could save 5oz by going to a fixed buttstock however LOP will around to 12.5. . XLR does sell spacers though. or you could buy the longer fixed 13.75 lop setup from xlr and sell this one with the folder

I have a XLR tr2 buttstock with the short tobe too that I could put on for my son and get an LOP of 10.5-14. so he could use it at the range and then if I wanted to hunt I just swapped back the lightweight smoke buttosck with the folder. Very versatile setup
