Tikka Master Sporter Thread

I'm the proud new owner of a Master Sporter. Thought I'd start a thread. What are folks using for scope mounting? Seems like spacing is limited. Is the addition of a rail a good idea? Talk to me about pillars and bedding. Should I treat the wood with anything?
This thing is frickin sweet. I removed the factory 14 twist 22-250 barrel and screwed on a unfired, 8 twist 243 barrel that was cut 17" and threaded. SWFA 10X and Sportsmatch T084
