Got a 6 lb 11 oz 308 that smashes eldm tips in mags pretty good under recoil. Any aluminum types out there that hang onto rounds a little better? Prolly just over thinking it. Dang thing nearly feeds itself it’s so slick.

No it works with the short bolt stop, just allows longer COAL. The flinging them harder part could still be an issue lol. I know my 308 doesn’t have much room with factory Eldm/eldx and doesn’t take much to move forward and hit the front of the mag. Tons of room with my 6.5 and the + mag though.

I went to "L" mags with my WSMs - sanded down the front of the follower and glued a little strip of rubber as a 'bumper' for my tips.

Borderline 'bubba', but it works 💪 🤣

Follower comes out real easy, or you can leave it partway installed for easy single feeding;

Would I need bolt stop change? Not bad idea, or it just flings em even harder into the front wall lol

Actually I lied to you. Shot my 308 with the factory 168 Eldm today and tried the m+ mag. It kinda worked. Had some feeding issues and missed rounds. The bolt barely comes back far enough so might need a new bolt stop for it to work properly
