A desire to pursue other projects has caused me to put up a couple of rifles for sale.
First up is a Tikka M690 in 9.3x62. Also for sale, as an optional extra with the package, is a SWFA 1-6x LPVO in Unknown Munitions Tikka Low rings. The two make an excellent combination at the short to medium ranges (0-300 yards) for which the 9.3x62 is justifiably famous. A great option for an Alaskan hunter.
A previous owner had drilled a primitive brake into the barrel. I had Kampfeld Customs cut the rifle to 18" and thread it 5/8x24. As can be seen from the pictures, Karl did his usual excellent work. When paired with a .375 AB Raptor 10, muzzle blast was non-existent and recoil was considerably easier to manage.
Due to the medium bore, it still retains excellent velocity utilizing PPU 285-grain factory ammunition. Garmin chronograph measures 2186 FPS for a 10-shot sample as compared with the advertised box velocity of 2265 FPS. Accuracy was excellent with a single 10-shot group measuring 1.6". This rifle is a shooter.
The bolt cycles smoothly and reliably.
The rifle includes PR Precision stainless steel bottom metal with a Cerakote to match the blued finish. The original, plastic, bottom "metal" is also included.
The rifle comes with the original 5-round magazine and one new OEM 5-round magazine.
Asking $1800 or best offer for the rifle.
Asking $2500 or best offer for the rifle with optic and rings.
Will trade for wooden Rokstok for Tikka T3/T3X.
Please see attached pictures. I will happily FaceTime you so you can get a closer look at anything you desire.
Zelle, Venmo, or check are preferred payment methods. Rifle will ship to your FFL (or cash, face-to-face transfer for Virginia residents).
