Tikka is the glock of hunting rifles

Ugly, plastic junk. But accurate, ugly, plastic junk!

my biggest gripe, however, is the lack of a true short action.
Never understood the action length hurdle...

....and I don't think tikkas are that ugly....😉. Certainly better looking than some of the other girls at the party.

Because I want an action built to the proper size, not built to pinch pennies.

10-4. Luckily there's plenty of options out there for you in that department! Seems like the shorts are too short with long bullets anymore though, so the tikkas do have that going for them.

I like my glocks the way they're made too.

They are cheap, plastic and kinda ugly but they shoot like hell and go boom when you pull the trigger. The bullets tend to go where they should in tight little groups without having to send them to a smith to get them overhauled beforehand.
Couldn’t agree more the groups I’ve gotten with my tikka with just a brake installed and factory ammo are rediculous

Funny thing.....I bought another Tikka off a fella and it came with a set of my mounts on it. Ha!
Sounds like you might have a spare set of 1" Lows on your hands....

138117Beauty in the eye if the beholder? I like my Tikka Forest. 0.75 MOA with factory loads. Easy to carry. Points straight and fast. Definitely better looking than a Glock!
