Tikka foundation stocks and Hawkins bottom metal.

I’ve always loved foundation stocks, hawkins bottom metal and trigger tech triggers. Pretty awesome they have it all for tikka t3s now. I decided to bite the bullet and order all three for my next tikka T3x 223ai build. I’ll post my thoughts on the setup once it shows up. Wild how many more options are out now for tikka rifle builds.

I really like my Ezekiel, very comfortable to shoot. If you get the Ezekiel, be sure to remove the arca rail, clean, loctite, torque the screws. Ask me how I know .

Looks like you can get any foundation stock inletted for the tikka now. I have an exodus, had the Gideon on a rem 700 build, but sold it because I need the adjustable cheek piece..damn high cheek bones . I’m very interested to see how the fit is on the tikka action compared to other stocks.

Probably extremely good like everything else they do. Tikka keeps their actions to tight tolerances and Foundation does the same for their inlets.

For sure, I doubt bedding or no bedding will make any difference if it’s like the rem 700 inlets.

Always wanted to try a Foundation so I found a used Genesis 2 . Building to shoot some PRS matches. Cool looking rifle and now will see how it shoots. I did not bed it.

Still confused on what Hawkins mags will work with the Tikka inlet for 308/6.5cm.

From talking to Hawkins all AICS mags will work. The rev c hunter mags work with the tikka short action bottom metal. The rev c mags are the hunter mags they are making going forward. For tikka’s with the long action bolt stop they have 3.5 bottom metal and 3.5 length hunter mags for standard and magnum cartridges.

Yes they are in everything but 223. I should have a prototype 223 hunter mag to try out soon.

Already have plenty of the CTR and AICS mags for 308 style rounds but I am really having to fight the urge to build a long action Tikka using their mags.

Would be great to know if their bottom metal was a little bit larger than CTR so an already inlet stock could be modified to accept the new bottom metal.

Yeah I am planning doing the tikka long action inlet as well for a 6.5x55 AI rifle I have.
