Not that I'm aware of. "CTR" Compact Tactical Rifle. Get a T3X lite if you want small cap mags.

I believe you can install a standard T3X bottom plastic, mag retention clip, and use low Rd count mags. But the whole dbm 10rd metal mag is what ctr was built around.

Got ha. I was just curious for when I just need a shot or 2. Don't always need a full load.

Ordered Oct 6th, arrived at Europtic Nov 11th. Had it at my FFL a week later. So that was about 6 weeks. I ordered very quickly once this was announced.

They quoted me 6 to 8 weeks. They had what I ordered already on order so it could be sooner. Hopefully it will become a stocked item one day.

Since I can't edit yet. Hopefully I misheard, and it was weeks, not months. I would be STOKED.if they show up in a few months. I agree though if they are popular why don't they just keep them in stock or have a constant order running.

What OAl and charge are you planning to start with on the 75 ELDs? I have great luck with 69 smks and 8208 but haven't tried the ELDs.

Hopefully going to try to .015 - .010 off the lands. Should still be magazine friendly. Goal is as always to try to have boat tail/bearing surface junction at shoulder/neck junction as close as possible. Hard to say exactly without the rifle in hand. Probably start the 8208XBR 23gr and up from there. Again, we'll see when we get em rollin'.

I'm in Canada so I can't readily shop EuroOptic but these are available at several dealers up here. I didn't realize they were a "come back" kind of thing until I found this thread, which seemed to me the most relevant one for this post.

Similar to how some on the 1911 9 mm thread have stated "I didn't own any 1911s until a few months ago, now I have...", I only joined Rokslide a couple of months ago and now have my first Tikka. I just wanted a good quality .223 bolt action for a plinker. This absolutely fits that role perfectly. A joy to shoot. I've only owned Ruger Hawkeyes and a Model 70 but wanted to try a modern design.

I was also very satisfied to see that the NF rings in combination with the rail had perfect alignment when I used my sliding ring bars. With the rifles and mounting set ups I'm used to, the question was always "how much lapping would be needed?"

I'm guessing this is more common with quality modern components and tighter tolerances. I could get used to this newfangled ironmongery.

My Model 70 is a Portugal FN from around 2018, before the more recent quality problems started. It functions fine and the fit and finish is good, but with one problem I didn't notice at first because I was using vertical rings: the receiver holes for the front and back mounts are off a few degrees. With proper rings, thorough lapping is needed. Better than committing a permanent act of ongoing violence on a poor scope, however.
