Hey guys looking for some advice, I have a stainless T3x that someone left a round in the chamber and it corroded, I got the bolt open and got the bullet out it was stuck and had green corrosion on it, now it will not load another round. What’s the best way to clean the chamber area? Thanks in advance.

Fine steel wool wrapped around a45 cal brush soaked in oil and turned with a drill, just don’t push up into the barrel

A bronze brush that's a larger diameter than the chamber. Put some solvent on it and spin it inside the chamber. Then get a bronze brush larger than the neck diameter of the cartridge, use solvent and spin it inside the neck area of the chamber. If you don't want to use bronze, try nylon.

If you can't get it cleaned up I have an unfired 270 barrel I just pulled i would let go cheap.

That’s a bummer. I could see being able to get the chamber cleaned up. Hopefully it doesn't extend into the throat/bore though as I could see that being a challenge. The good thing as @Chad E pointed out, should be able to find a takeoff barrel for a decent price to replace it if necessary.

I use a 338 bronze brush to remove carbon ring from 308 diameter barrels. Nominal brass thickness is 0.015 so it's a pretty good fit. I use a bore guide and spin the brush by hand. I can feel distinctive resistance when the brush hits the throat. You should be able to do the same thing.
My barrels cost about $500 so I'm careful not to use it like a commode brush . I learned carbon ring was a thing at about 3,500 rounds. So you can imagine kind of what it looked like.

It would be nice to get a borescope in there to see if you have any residual pitting of the stainless steel.
I'm thinking, and hoping for you that this might not be a big deal at all. Undoubtedly the gun was put away wet with a round in the chamber or it sweated in storage.

You guys are talking about carbon buildup. Thats the least of concerns. Me bets there was actual electrolysis from dissimilar metals and resultant pitting. Combine a lil moisture with brass and steel and the steel loses. No scrubbing in the world is gonna fix that.

Um clr will eat calcium lime rust, corrosion whatever.........trust me. Hell cuck it up on a 20ga shot gun brush. Clr will polish it out. If guys can ruin a barrel with it(allegedly) I think it'll work. I used it to clean a bunch of rust and corrosion out of a neglected chamber/barrel.

Sure it will, but it won’t do anything about the pitting in the steel.
