Does anyone know of a resource or chart that shows which bolt face tikka is using in each chambering of their factory rifles and which cartridges are compatible with that bolt face?

I am looking into buying a cheap tikka somewhere just for the action but want to know which chamberings I should be looking at to ensure compatibility with my build plan.

Not specific to Tikka, but I have used this post in the past and found it to be accurate:

I've read before Tikka uses 3 bolt faces: .384, .473, and .540. I did a quick search but didn't see a Tikka specific list of calibers that correlate with those sizes but hopefully that gets you closer to what you're trying to do.

The easiest thing to do would be to tell us what you plan to build and then we can recommend which Tikka to buy for the build.

6arc would be the dream.....in my continued research I am finding that is not the easiest ask and not just because of the bolt face. May go with 6 creed to make life simple. Thanks everyone for weighing in some great information here.

6 ARC is fine. You’ll need to buy a 223 and have a smith open up the bolt face to accommodate.

A 6 ARC Tikka would be awesome. I like my Howa mini but the action is not “Tikka smooth”.

Would a tikka in .350 legend have the same bolt as the .223?

I read on another post where guys were having issues with 6ARC feeding properly in their tikka builds...sounded like hard to find the perfect magazine to do it

Yep, 350 Legend is the same bolt face as 223.

I can’t comment on which Tikka mags would work best, but you could always go with a bottom metal that accepts AICS magazines and use an MDT 6 ARC mag.

That’s the rub right there, you want a cartridge that Tikka doesn’t have a bolt for.

The 6 ARC uses a .445/Russian bolt face. You can either have someone open up a .223 bolt or bush a standard bolt, but nothing is going to work “out of the box.”

If someone made an aftermarket Tikka bolt with a native Russian bolt face Id be pretty excited. I’ve wanted a 6 ARC Tikka since the cartridge was introduced.
