It’s a boat load of fun with my CGS Hyperion bolted on.

A lot easier to not have to bother with muffs, batteries, etc.

Plus the recoil reduction.

Having an internal dilemma…PH3 6 creed, this Tikka 6.5 CM, PH3 6.5 PRC…fack lol

I don’t love tikka stocks, so I’d replace it and it would put me roughly (little less) in the same price range as a PH3.

Yes m15x1 muzzle threads with adapter from m15x1 to 5/8x24. Here are pictures with 5/8 direct thread suppressor using adapter and another with a tbac cb that’s threaded in m15x1 and not utilizing the adapter.

You da man, thanks!

I have the same can. I have the 5/8” CB brake. What’s your preferred method to attach it?

I have the same thought. The PH3 is very appealing with the barrel lengths

caliber is subjective to me. I havent found a reason to go 6.5 PRC thats logical, other than guys saying "not enough gun past 500", which seems to be irrelevant for all the data I found to show that most guys dont shoot them past 500 anyway, when it comes to elk.

I like the stock on the PH3. It looks like what I'd want out of a hunting stock. Might be worth it if it works for you. Im replacing the stock on my tikka as well (and knew I would), so all in I'm going to be past $1500 anyway.

I’m leaning towards lesser and lesser gun. I used to be a big bore guy - 300 WM, 325 WSM, had a stint with a 7mm WSM. Of course they all worked, but you paid for it in recoil. Never been recoil shy, but it’s just annoying after shooting a box of bullets.

I went 6.5 PRC a few years ago and have had excellent results on elk and deer. It’s very mild on recoil, especially with a brake, or suppressor.

I’m not a ‘long range’ guy. I can only shoot out to 600 at my range. I do so very comfortably, but I don’t ever see myself shooting an animal that far unless conditions were 100% perfect. Even then, I doubt I’d do it.

Inside of 400, a 6 creed is as deadly as you need. Most will argue 223 or 22 creed is fine. I’m not ready to drop down that low, but that 6 creed is calling my name.

The drover is tempting
I was just checking that thing out too! I mean 20”, threaded, iron sights… the ultimate hunting rifle… and if your bomb proof scope dies during a hunt you are in business with irons… or if you live in Utah and want to hunt the new irons only rifle season…
