Tikka's are like............

The Ugly Stik.

So, I recently moved and was going through all my crap and found some "remnants" of several fishing rods.
I fish the backcountry quite a bit and have literally gone through a metric shit ton (copyrighted phrase by PNWGATOR) of pack rods that seem to break for a variety of reasons.....mostly from poor quality. One expensive rod broke due to a trail bike wreck which resulted in me finally getting an inreach. Broken rib, separated cartilage in sternum......so I'll give that rod a break, so to speak.

I was done with the expensive stuff so as I always do, I did my research and due diligence.

Enter the Ugly Stik.

Nothing fancy, nothing snazzy, nothing flashy, nothing prestigious.......most likely ain't gonna be taking home the prom queen, but..........it just plain works.
Dependable, reliable, fairly inexpensive, bombproof and hopefully is Randyproof, comes in left handed and it passes the drop test.

Had to chuckle as one of my tikka's was next to it.

Ahhhh, makes perfect sense.

Tikka.......the Ugly Stik of the gun world.

Randy

........the proud owner of a few "Ugly Stik's"

Great analogy. I use a similar one when trying ‘splain that the projectile is the only part of the equation that the critter comes in contact with. Just like fish don’t know if they just got hooked by a g loomis or an ugly stick from bi mart.
