What are the best options? What do you guys have? I've got the factory trigger in all mine w/ aftermarket springs. Contemplating a new trigger. Thanks!

None.

Tikka trigger groups are simple and reliable and offer outstanding performance. One of the Yo Dave trigger springs, or whichever aftermarket spring you’re currently using, should afford whatever trigger pull you desire.

Why do you feel compelled to change the trigger?

Two reasons for being curious:

1) I thought I liked the factory trigger in my CZ 457 and then I installed a Timney. It’s more crisp and way easier to adjust. I like it better.

2) I have one of my Tikkas taken all apart for cerakoting, so now is a good time.

I expected a lot of “the factory trigger is fine” type comments. I agree, the factory trigger is very good, especially with a lighter spring. Just wondering if anyone has found an aftermarket trigger to be a worthwhile upgrade.

No creep at all after the first stage take-up, no over-travel and a lot more adjustments to fine tune the trigger to your liking. I like a trigger set at about 2lbs and when you get a Tikka trigger set that low, I start to feel the creep and quite a bit of over-travel.

i just swapped out trigger springs on my couple of tikka t3x lites. mountain tactical, and i think yodave is another option. no complaints and easy peasy.

From a mechanical standpoint, the Timney isn’t doing a thing better than the factory, I the ones I have used I prefer the factory. If the Tikka trigger could fit on a Remington it’d be called “Match Grade”.

If I were changing the Tikka trigger the only ones I would use would be a two stage Sako TRG or KRG Midas trigger. Everything else is a downgrade.

Well thanks for all the feedback. Pretty much what I expected (i.e., the factory trigger is so good, don't mess with it.).

I was looking at a Tikka t3x tact a1 the other day, it had a two stage trigger with an extra button to open the action with the safety on. I really like that feature!! Is that the same trigger in the Sako krg?
Thanks,
Ryan
