Tikka ACE Game accuracy expectations

Thus far I am barely maintaining MOA. I have tested …Federal Gold Medal 77 grain.

Was also able to achieve.5 MOA with Federal Gold Medal with 77 grn SMK’s….The clear winner was Federal Gold Medal 69 Grn SMK’s with a .3 MOA

As you know groups are never identical from group to group or day to day. However the information provided is a fair representation of what is what the rifle and ammo is capable of. Today was the first group testing for several of the loads,

however I have tested the Federal Gold Medal SMK’s several times with a .5 MOA results, if I do my part.
Im a little unsure if we’re meaning the same things. I asked because it appeared you tested the federal gold medal match 77gr multiple times, with results “barely moa” at first, then .5moa later. Were you referring to the same ammo? If so, it seems you are referring to the BEST group you can shoot (at first 1moa, later .5moa)? This is why I was wondering if this apparent change from barely 1moa to .5 moa could simply be an artifact of too-small a sample size. My answer on what Id expect from my own tikkas would be very different depending.

I would try a variety of bullets id shoot atleast 100 down the tube and then giver her a good cleaning...

Here is a pbb on tikka in 223 wyled with a 1:7 twist. Good news is if you need to swap barrels out well its not that expensive...

Not an ace game but my tikka 223 stacked the berger 73 gr box ammo into about a dime for 10 shots. Until then it shot most box stuff around moa. May have to just find what it likes.
