Tikka 7mm to prc question

I have a 7mm rem mag tikka t3x superlite rough tech. My question is this. Can I take a proof 7prc prefit barrel and order a pure precision mesa stock and put it together. Or will I need a new bolt face/magazine. I have the mountain tactical bottom metal. I want a carbon barrel and trying to figure out what caliber will work without doing anything to my action.

exactly what i did. tikka 7rm i bought the whole rifle for the donor action. i added a carbon six 7prc barrel and put it in a pure precision altitude stock. i'm using the factory "bottom metal" and plastic mag with no issues at all.

just to clarify, no action or bolt work necessary, same components for 7rm, 7prc and other similar calibers (their long action magnum bolt face). this site spells out what actions/bolt faces work with which calibers.

22" or 24"? Are your hand loading and have you shot it yet? I did a Tikka 6.5 CM, proof, and Manners that I love. Looking to get a 7mm PRC since my son will be using the 6.5

this one is a 24" and prolly sticking with factory ammo as a decent selection, decent prices and shoots well.
