Tikka 223

Yup, I just don’t buy the hype of these fancy stocks, like o said I tried several, none of them made an appreciable difference, for the cost of a stock that won’t make me shoot better I can buy a lot of ammo, fuel or even a short plane ride for a hunt.
The only thing stocks have helped me do really is spot impacts better. But that’s mostly irrelevant on a 223.

I also provably suck at shooting more than most, so I need all the help I can get.

I like the regular T3 stock, so I haven’t swapped any out. If I did, it would be to get their walnut. My T3X Lite 22-250 would probably look pretty schnazzy in real wood…

I think my shooting is probably average for rokslide but a lot better than the general hunting crowd.

I chose the 16” hunter model from eurooptic. The wood stock is awesome looking. I plan to swap the wood to an older t3x I use for deer hunting and use the regular black stock on my 223.

I had a similar plan but I think the hunter is the slightly thicker d18 barrel, so it didn’t fit in my regular T3X lite stock.

I've had my T3 Lite for a little over a year and I have nothing but good things to say about it. The rings seems really solid and with Black Hills PSP's ( I do not reload) I can generally cover a three-shot, 100 yd. group with a quarter, dependent, of course, how many pots of coffee I've had.

As far as the twist goes, I can't tell you until I pull the snow camo off of it. I use the Vet-Wrap that you can get in most fram stores. I'll try to remember to do that tonight and get back at you.

here is my journey. my gun is a hammer now!
