Tikka 1-8 twist which Berger bullet

Ok maybe a stupid question. The 75 eldm do not shoot well as they recommend a 1-7 twist, my barrel is a 1-8. Does that mean the berger vld 80 grain won’t shoot any good either? I’ve seen both 1-8 and 1-7 recommended for the berger vld.

I found the 73 ELDm less finicky than the 75 when I had a factory tikka tube. Factory 73s shot great.

I'd try the 80.5 full bore if looking for a higher BC berger. Even that might not be fully stable depending on velocity and DA.

My experience was the same. Couldn't get 75s to work, but the 73s will go into a dime almost effortlessly.

Long bullets are very particular about sealing depth, and anyone who says different is either being disingenuous or really doesn’t know.
Go to the Berger website and read up .
