Just wondering if anybody who has this setup could post some thoughts on it?

Can't afford the Kifaru type tipi, plus I dont think I could stand up in the Kifaru anyways. I'm 6'1 and am looking at the Tigoat for the weight savings, price and ability to stand up in it.

Would be a camping option for my wife and I when we go fishing, and also would get used mostly during bow seasons here in Montana. I get another week of vacation this year, and am bound and determined to get a spring bear with my bow!

Could possibly come up against some less than desirable weather, but I'm not going to use it during gun season unless I absolutely have to.

The weight savings on the carbon fiber poles and everything is the one I was looking at.

Anybody have some pictures of one all setup with one of Tigoat/Kifaru's stove? I would love to see some pics if you have them!

I have the vertex 5 with stove and it's great. Go to the classified section in tents and search for vertex. Ramshead had one for sale and that is the one I bought. There are some pics in his post.

Is the 5 big enough for you to stand up in? also possibly have a stove and another person.

My wife may or may not come with me on the hunting trips. During the summer we wouldn't have the stove as it would be more of a drive to the campsite kind of deal and would just bring a grill and portable coleman.

It's only 5 ft tall so no standing. You can do the stove with another person, but I'd put the wood outside.

Ahh. Thanks for the info, that's the main reason I'm going to go with a tipi is so that I can stand up. Have a few issues with my back from football injuries so stooping over to put my clothes on etc isn't cutting it.

Plus a roomier tipi would be better for my wife and I and our pup when we go camping haha.

The Vertex 6.5 is pricey for me but I think I can talk my wife into it when I get a 3rd job!
