Back on the Footwear deal.
So got my Lowa Tibets and really do like them. Starting to get the laces figured out which helped a lot.
In one of my other threads the reason for getting new boots...other than just getting new gear was I was having some pain my foot while doing some back pack hikes around home. Now here in Missouri we don't have the nice mountains to train or work on like some of you do. But I was hoping that getting a stiffer boot would help. Which it did some but I am still getting some pain in my feet with a 30lb pack and hiking. It normally comes on about halfway through a hike. So next I am going to try some insoles and see of that helps some. Hopefully it will as I am at the point of either that or going to a foot doc.

I still just don't know if it's just something that my feet need to get used to or if I actually have something wrong with my feet.
My theory before was my feet were moving too much by not wearing a stiff boot. But now after having the Lowe's I just don't know. I could probably go stiffer with something like a Zamberlian but I just don't know yet.

Any advise would be a huge help.

My experience with Lowa has always been size up not down. I have 4 different pairs and sized up in all for best fit.
This has been my experience too. But I would absolutely NOT order smaller than your normal everyday shoe size.

Aftermarket insoles would be a good choice. Most insoles that come with the boots are not great. I have had good luck with Spenco brand insoles in my Lowa Tibets and Ticam II. Your feet will likely need time to adapt to these boots since they are very different from normal everyday footwear

Agreed. I remember a review I read on the Lowa Tibet GTX's before I bought mine 16 years ago. The reviewed said the insoles needed to be replace on day one, and that they were wafer thin. He wasn't kidding. I replaced mine and it was a HUGE improvement.
