In my search for a rifle I noticed only a handful of firearm manufacturers make some model(s) that come with the barrel threaded from the factory. I’d like to get a centerfire rifle for my sons to start hunting with (7mm.08) that I can put a muzzle break on to target shoot with and remove the break when in the field. Do you anticipate more and more manufacturers having the stock threaded barrel? With the cost being < $800. I know Ruger, Kimber > $800, Browning (muzzle break). Any others? I would like to see more options in this market.

Thompson Center makes a youth with a threaded barrel. People also say their Compass rifle shoots well, it's threaded. Savage makes a few threaded.

Threading is pretty cheap if you already have a rifle or just buy a budget rifle and thread it. You can still stay under budget.

Some Tikka models come with a threaded barrel, though I don’t know if they will hit your price point.

Barrel threading is probably the most common thing smiths are doing now a days. Pick out the rifle you're interested in and send it off. I'd much rather pick a rifle that had other attributes that I wanted then get it threaded than start with factory threaded options.

for changing out easily you could stick with a radial brake that doesn't need to be indexed. they don't work as well as some of the others but are still effective.

the kimber you mentioned is threaded 7/16-28 which is an oddball size, so you may need to stick with the factory brake if you go that route. ruger seems to be the most cost effective that already comes threaded. fwiw, you can buy a tikka on sale for less than $500 and ship the barreled action off to get it threaded for $75 plus the shipping. i won't have threading done locally anymore after my last experience.

Some options with factory threaded barrels:

Thompson Center Compass & Venture
Mossberg Patriot
CVA Cascade
Ruger American Predator

Weatherby Weatherguard Bronze (threaded/$600-700)
Browning AB3 Stalker Long Range (has brake/$750-800)
Howa 1500 Gen 2 Gameking combo (threaded/$500) - not has a scope that is crap. Wish rifle was sold for $100 less without scope and mount

NOTE: I did not check if each of these is available in 7mm-08. I've been looking at a cheap 300 WM option.
