Hey guys I’ve been looking at purchasing AR. I happened to come across a new Kel TEC RDB for 600$. Anyone have anything experience with this bullpup. Is it worth getting? I was originally looking for a AR-15 and happened to come across this Kel TEC. I also found someone with a new AR-15 (PSA upper and Anderson lower. Has some magpul upgrades and a BCM charging handle. That setup is 500$. Also have the option to buy a new Ruger AR-556 for 700$ What are your thoughts on these platforms? Thanks

First, dude its a kel-tec... I have yet to see something that they make that makes me say "I need that". Easy pass

That AR-556. Bought one a while back on the cheap. Its a nothin special rifle. I sure wouldnt spend $700 on it

Your PSA dealio would be what I would lean towards. Dunno if I would buy that one though. I'd probly poke around and order exactly what I wanted.

What are you wanting to do with it?

If this will be your only tactical rifle, go with traditional AR platform. The RDB is a great choice for concealment and fits into a tennis racket bag, has a 17.1” barrel and function has been flawless on mine. It just depends on use case scenario.

Of the 2, I'd go for the AR set up for sure. However, unless it's set up exactly how you want, you could just buy a complete AR from PSA for the same or less. They have models and sales that get you a complete for ~$400, and at least that way it's straight from the manufacturer. Then you don't have to wonder what sort of shenanigans the previous owner tried on their rifle, or have to look at yourself in the mirror knowing you have an Anderson lower.

Mostly kidding about the last part.
