All the guys who have been talking shit can go on his show and have a “shoot off” shoot free hand, with bags, prone, from a lead sled.
Then when it gets to the final few you shoot his rifle and he shoots yours.

The whoteewho shooting competition where we compete off lead sleds! Funny stuff.

I think you are using "tikka fanboys" to defend the guy because it's easy to point fingers that way.

The truth is, he's catching flak on here because he says and does a lot of things that are either contradictory or nonsense.

It doesn't matter tikka/ruger/browning/seekins. As soon as I saw him strap into the lead sled and say, "See! I knew I could get a superlight magnum to shoot!", I knew how it was going to go. Then, he somehow managed to complain about how the trigger spring screw is kept from completely coming out by the bolt that holds the trigger to the action, like it's a bad thing?!

He either isn't good at thinking things through or he doesn't think his viewers are. Either way, I'm picking on him.

I'm sure he will be okay. He seems to enjoy the views and discourse. I wouldn't read too much into the terrible messages he has received that no one but him can see.....

Furthermore, he is being nice to the tikka. That 7prc he has is a 2moa gun if you aggregate his groups.

And it does kinda suck tikka rings/rails aren't included.

So you can put down your pitchfork and stop chasing other people with pitchforks. It's all going to be okay.

I saw someones video where a bunch of guys were doing a annual shooting competition at various ranges...like ten guys and all had to shoot without assistance from a spotter. WDW held his own.... so not sure he is a slouch or scared....he just knows his audience and caters to them as that is how he gets paid. LOL

You are entitled to your opinions, as are we all. It doesn’t bother me in the least what rifles you prefer. My comment was directed at the person who started the thread. If he doesn’t like what you have to say, then ignoring it is a perfectly valid response. And if he thinks you are an ignorant idiot - I am not saying that you are - then not linking your opinions is the better response than driving people to engage with you and give you more views. Because views are definitely good.

Luck of the draw? My coworker has two patriots, one a 6.5 PRC that shoots 1” or better. And a 30-06 that is a problem child. 3” at 100 is the best that we’ve been able to get so far. Maybe you got a dud Tikka. Try a 22-250 or a 223 next go round.

In your case Adam, I'd do exactly that as that is what works for you. Wasn't it Backfire that had problems with a Mossberg Patriot? If I remember correctly, he sent it to Ultimate Reloader to have it "fixed" by putting a new after-market barrel on it and in a chassis.

Point being is this....Factory produced items all have lemons. Tikka has had some huge success and it wasn't because their guns shot horribly. I'd love to see how yours shot with handloads and without the can. Have you tried removing the stock and re-installing? Lastly, you have a 3 shot guarantee. Send to Beretta and see what they say.....Great for views, right?

A lead sled has nothing to do with shooting well. Feel free to find all of the 50bmg, 338 Lapua, 338 win mag, 500 Jeffrey, 300 win mag, 7mm rem mag, 300 prc all shooting well off of lead sled too . Purpose of the lead sled is to showcase the performance of the rifle as to not depend on the shooter, not "Oh my this thing recoils so bad I have to use a lead sled" . I have hundreds of examples of also shooting the magnums on bipod, offhand, prone, etc. etc . Same whole groups with 338 win mag. From my 24 hours on this website it seems the entire point of this web page is centered around people making false claims and bringing people down . Instead of complaining online and talking bad about others let's go do something productive - build people up, read a book, start a new hobby, get a job.

So if you shoot out of a lead sled you cant shoot? Wouldnt it make sense if you are doing a gun review that shooting it from a sled to try and remove the human element from it would be a decent idea?

One of the most common reasons for using a lead sled is for higher volume shooting where you want to take out the human element/margin of error, especially higher recoiling cartridges. If ever there were an appropriate application for this style shooting rest, it would be with the type of multiple ammo testing that Adam frequently videos.

This YouTube channel is one of my favorites. I disagree with about 25% of what he does, but that 25% doesn’t diminish the entertainment value, for me at least. Per everything in life, you glean the useful information from the encounter and then discard the rest.
