300 magnums are never the wrong answer if you can shoot them well.
.3o/o6 is all the magnum I will ever need.

What?Well, since we're being compared to concrete workers, I never was good in school in the first place. So here I am.
Smaller is only better for hunting if you can’t shoot large caliber rifles accurately. Lol. If an eldm or tmk out of a 223 is good, an eldm or TMK out of a 7prc is a hell of a lot better.I've adopted the "smaller is better" mindset, I have a 7PRC barrel sitting in the safe that'll get screwed on next month.
Why stop there? A 285 ELDM out of a .338 Edge is clearly a hell of a lot better than a puny 7PRC. That's my preferred pronghorn combination. Usually step it up to .408 Cheytac for elk though. But only because I can't shoot the 12.7mm x 108 accurately.Smaller is only better for hunting if you can’t shoot large caliber rifles accurately. Lol. I don’t disagree - keep it behind the shoulder and send it.Why stop there? A 285 ELDM out of a .338 Edge is clearly a hell of a lot better than a puny 7PRC. That's my preferred pronghorn combination. You should bulk up a bit so you can handle the recoil! Why stop there? A 285 ELDM out of a .338 Edge is clearly a hell of a lot better than a puny 7PRC. That's my preferred pronghorn combination. Meaning bears? For what we normally hunt in the lower 48 the smaller caliber premium bullets seem to work adequately. However, if the game you are shooting is of the kind that will take you on, a larger caliber is highly recommended.
I didn't think so until now that I have found someone that has been attacked by a rabbit.
What do you use for bears?Yeah, pretty much. I've never been attacked buy a rabbit.
I think we all understand that it is possible me to take game with a small caliber. I don’t think anyone is arguing that. I think the argument is that larger calibers are often time “better” for larger game.22 Hornet vs impala. Two separate kills, headshot is predictable; dead right there. The shoulder shot is about a 40 yard death run.
Looks like ‘wallop’ is referenced in the opening quote preceding the article lol.
