Can everyone go to the EE website and send a message requesting they make a quilt with one of the new synthetic down materials like thermaplume? If they get enough requests they'll look into it and I really want one. :)

I'm surprised we haven't seen a thermoplume sleeping bag yet. There must be something about it that prevents it from being a good option for bags or quilts.

Supposedly it's performance is on par with 800 fill down according to am article in Outside magazine. Not sure if it's too costly right now or what. I'd really like to try it.

How about new polartec Powerfill? That's looks like a good insulation designed for maximum warmth.

Isn't that closer to apex? Or is it as light as down? I can't really tell from what I'm reading.
