Good thermal clip ons start at 10X what that thing costs. I wouldn't waste my money.
I have one already. Its really good for the price. I just need a good scope. Ive been running it on a vortex lpvo 1-8 but want to get a newer scope and not an lpvo. For the price its not bad at all but of course each their own.

What scope are you looking to get? Is that clip on even usable with more than a 4x day scope?

A vortex strike eagle 3-18x44 ffp. 2.5x and 3x are perfect. 4x and up starts getting bleh, its doable but not recommended.

I'm not familiar with that clip on but I use units that cost more than some cars and depending on what it is, some will only work pretty well up to the 4-6x range and some (like INOD and better) can do quite a bit more. You could move to a MPVO but you might not be able to see any gain with it.
