I am picking one up because I have heard great things I had been tracking it for awhile.

I recommend the wide version, I tried and then sold off my regular one and I'm not a wide guy (6' 180lb usually), it was a tad too narrow for my liking (would slide off easier if I moved towards the edges which would compress when loaded more heavily). I've slept more restfully on the wide version. My $0.02

Ya I am a shorter dude and use a mummy bag so I think I'll be alright. But good info to know.

Is there just a regular wide version? I only see long/wide.

Was your version the “max” model? Was going to order the square model and was wondering if I should order the wide to avoid this issue

I have the long wide mummy. The extra width keeps me on the pad and extra length keeps my pillow (stuff sack with puffy) on the pad also. At 6' and not that wide I found the regular mummy didn't allow much movement before I'd find myself sliding off it in the night. Just my experience, I've slept better on the wide/long. I think with thin pads its far less of an issue to have the larger footprint than with these thicker ones which have more room to compress when you get near the edge and when it does you start sliding off was my experience. The extra few ounces was worth it to me.

Backcountryedge.com has them for 139.99 and I believe they are the same seller as on amazon
