Getting to the point where I need to think about getting rid of excess baggage. Going to sell a few guns and give the money to a good cause. The TRCP has been on my radar for a while but I have reservations about its association with the Democrat party. Who can give me the low down?

Give your money to a local church or shelter. It will be money better spent. If there are non around, give it to St Judes or other children’s hospital.

In terms of conservation efforts, they are an organization that I often see social media posts about specific actions they’ve taken or are working on—proof of where your money is going. Right to Roam podcast had an episode recently on evaluating nonprofits.

I volunteer at a shelter and donate regularly. I've spent my whole life hunting and fishing on public land in eight western states. Any other organizations that focus on access to public land? Preferably not associated with the Democrats?

RMEF seems an easy choice.

One option might be looking into a regional or state specific conservation org. They're usually focused direct conservation and access programs without getting into politics. Wyoming wildlife federation for example

Even as much as I love to hunt and fish public lands, I have to echo the earlier poster. Never miss an opportunity to support and help St Judes. I've personally seen what they did for a hunting buddy's little boy who battled eye cancer. After seeing what St Judes and Ronald Mcdonald House did for his family I will never hesitate to give to them at every opportunity I can and encourage others to do the same. Those folks really help a lot of families at one of the most trying times of their lives
