Man this guy sounds legit, I want someone to call in 20+ elk for me so I can pick over the 350+ bulls until I find one of my liking… wonder why none of his buddies can make it?

Why we hiking 20 miles?? Sounds like your hiking and not hunting!
I hike 20 miles when I am packing out meat. Multiple trips back and forth, typically adds up to over 20 miles.

But if one is hiking 20 miles in a day, they don't know what they are doing - since they are hiking past a LOT of elk. Or they aren't hiking past any elk at all. In either case, I'll stick with my solo hunts.

Ya I was meaning the hunting portion. I get hiking for the pack out can be long and brutal but I took it as he was hiking during the hunt. You definitely aren't finding the 350+ bulls regularly just going for a hike

Good point. I would imagine that any dude who calls in 20 bulls until one of them is a 350 hunting any unit you can hunt annually in Colorado would have have a deep pool of potential partners.
Is this like the dating app where there are many reports of men not recognizing the woman from her ad?

"Sexy Tactical military type man in great shape with his own vehicle looking for sexy woman". ...

and this guy shows up to the date....

That depends on two things: (1) Are there actually 350"+ bulls where you're hunting; and (2) how you're calling. I don't actually start hunting until I get the response I want. Until then it's just hiking. So ya, sometimes it takes covering a lot of ground to find those big bulls that want to play the game.
