The turkey call world lost a legend today

If you're into turkey calls you would know the name Billy Buice. He was a legend and pioneer in the call making world. Today he flew to the roost where he will be missed by a huge community. He made calls longer than anyone else in history and was a fine man, veteran, and part Cherokee Indian. He will go down in history as one of the greats.

I always admired the workmanship of these custom turkey call makers, particularly the older gentlemen like Buice that did it for so long. I would have really liked to have acquired one of his trumpet calls. He lived a long, interesting life and left behind a unique legacy.
