The Tetons

Wife and i want to see the Tetons up close,she is not into climbing so we are just looking for some advise on roughly a 2 day stay in the area.Would like to take her to stay at a nice place for the night and take her out to dinner,see some of the sights in and around the area.She will mostly take pictures while i will wonder around with rod in hand.Any advise is appreciated.

I stayed at the Rustic Inn Creekside Resort in Jackson last time I was there. Had a creek running beside it, propane fire pits, etc. Rooms were separate cabins. Nice place, expensive but most things in that area are.

Inn on the Creek in Jackson is awesome for a bed and breakfast for couples. Hot tub in the room. They pack you snacks and give insights into the best places to go.

Bubba's BBQ in Jackson for eats...damn good grub....

If you're up that far and you haven't been, I highly recommend taking a walk through the Buffalo Bill Center. Specifically the gun museum, it's an awesome place.

I had a work meeting at Snow King resort. Probably wouldn't recommend. It was fine and pretty clean, but lots of little things added up to a mediocre experience.

If you're up that far and you haven't been, I highly recommend taking a walk through the Buffalo Bill Center. Specifically the gun museum, it's an awesome place.

Depending on how far you’re coming from, that is a still a good ways away. Minimum 4 hours through Yellowstone, and that is missing the traffic, which doesn’t really happen in the summer unless you do it at night. 6+ hours to go around.

We stayed at The Lodge at Jackson Hole for a few nights last summer. Very nice hotel, especially if you can get a discounted rate. Best meal we had was at the Gun Barrel. We also tried Bubba's BBQ but we were not impressed with the food, plus it was way overpriced for what it was. That's coming from a Southerner though, where outstanding BBQ is everywhere.

Can't help you with the fishing, we didn't wet a hook. I'm sure there are lots of places along the Snake River in that area where you could try them out. For sightseeing though, we liked Yellowstone better.

Elk Country Inn and Cowboy Village have small cabins right in town. not expensive. Rustic Inn and others would be much nicer and more expensive.
Bubba's is ok , not the best by any means.

Just finished lunch at Bubba's BBQ. Highly recommend. It was amazing.

I second Inn on the Creek. We used to stay there for New Years Eve and really enjoyed it.

I’m old, but watching the “bar j wranglers” is pretty fun to do one evening. As for the Tetons, on the victor/driggs side you can climb table rock which will give you some up close and personal views and it wasn’t too bad. Or at least it wasn’t 10 years ago when I did it last.

My buddy's family own the Gros Ventre River Ranch in Moose. Moose wandering around the cabins, short drive into Jackson, and of course the Gros Ventre River for fishing.
