Yeah I still want one for next year. My SG is worn out. I was looking at them this morning in the UM store for the second time and ready to pull the trigger. Guess I'll wait a little longer. Unless @Mark at EXO will make an exception for a guy out killing deer during the sale , I have time stamps! 11/19 was my birthday too if that helps my pity plea haha

I've had mine for 6 weeks or so. The nine day wilderness trip I had planned didn't happen so it's just been day hunts.

At first I tried to use the wings to contain everything, unless they are full, it just adds baggy bulk. I ended up stuffing the wings between the bag and frame and just using the compression straps to hold it all tight.

How I load it for day hunts:
The bottom is big enough I can stuff puffy pants/coat, rain pants/coat, gloves, knit hat and extra orange vest in it.

Top compartment gets the day gear. Extra box of ammo or two extra mags depending on rifle, toilet paper/wipes, fire kit, first aid kit, 2-1 liter smart waters, misc pouch (w/cord, ribbon, contractor bag, range finder battery, power bank and charge cords), kill kit and 1 or 2 Butthole Sandwich(s).

I hunt with my wife often so depending on how long I/we will be out, I'll add Jet boil, food, cup, coffee and appropriate extra water.

I don't run the lid as a day pack but still have plenty of room for an extra shirt or whatever and still compress it down tight when it nearly empty.

On the outside I have a Molinator in the shock cord and a jellyfish in the left stretch pocket, sissy stix and tripod on left side if I take it.

If I'm hunting, my rifle is in my hand. If I'm point A to B or otherwise need my hands, rifle goes on the right side. Again, top compression strap keeps it all tight.

I haven't packed meat with it yet, but I'll do a more detailed review after I do as well as a multi day trip.

Because I don't run the lid for day hunts, I wish it had a pocket inside one of the zipper flaps for small things like spare ammo/mags, lighter etc.

I keep 1 spare mag on my bino harness but secondary mags I'd like to have more accessible.

I was thinking S2H was running their sale a little longer, is why I thought the pack would still be on sale since it was theirs and EXO was selling for them.
I really don’t have a use for a pack that big, I just wanted it.

I shot a whitetail buck a few days ago and my wife shot one yesterday. both had to be quartered and packed out.

mine was about 1.5 miles from trailhead and 300ish yards above trail in a steep shaly brush field.

my wife's was about 2 miles in and 1200-1400 feet above trail on a really steep post burn brush field.

Both deer I took both hind quarters and all the trim meat. Wife took the shoulders.

with my buck I also had the head. For the trip out I put my bino harness in the pack and rifle strapped on as well so I had both hands for trek poles on the Rocky slope. Total pack was about 90#.

With my wife's buck, she took the head. I wore my bino harness and ate the sandwich and drank my water. total pack weight about 70-75#.

Both deer I strapped the hind quarters big end up to the frame using the two lower straps on the frame.

The trim meat went in the upper compartment with all the other gear above it. Then I used the two top straps to contain the quarters and compress the pack and everything on it.

I'm very impressed how it handles the weight so far. I didn't have any trouble with the meat/bag shifting while navigating steep rocky, slick and brushy hillsides.
I also really like the k4 frame shape being narrow at the bottom which works perfect to strap the small end of quarters.
I thought a load shelf was mandatory until the K4 because it was nearly impossible to keep quarters and especially boned out meat from sliding out the bottom of wider frames.

I've used a Eberlestock F1/Vapor 5000 for the last 5 or 6 years. The Terratorn/K4 is exactly 2 pounds lighter empty. The Terratorn/K4 makes 90 pounds feel like 70 once it's on imo.

So far, I'm very impressed with the versatility and well thought out features. The ability to go from a 8000ci bag to pack in camp and convert to a 2000ci day pack to hunt out of is awesome.

So far I only have two things to mention. I wish it had a zip pocket on one of the zip flaps for extra ammo/mags, headlamp, etc if running without the lid.
The other is the trek pole loops. If they were an inch or two higher, or a fabric tube that covered the carbide tip, the poles wouldn't snag on down logs/brush nearly as much.
Both are certainly tolerable though.

Bag worked great!
Ha, I had too much food left over after killing my bull. Put the food in the load shelf.
The mulie pack out sucked. Only about three miles but the first quarter mile was a 400' climb or more.

I really liked having my glassing needs easy to get to. No more yard sale.

Just washed my bag and repacked it for this evening. A bit of a crumpled mess because I don’t care, but this carries fantastic and everything is accessible in seconds. Could have set it up “nicer” instead of stuffing everything in and not caring.

Only thing in the main bag is an emergency down quilt and dyneema tarp stuffed in the bottom.

Puffy jacket and Swaro 14s in one wing. Puffy pants and a heavy merino balaclava in the other wing.

Tripod with outdoorsmans micro pan head attached under one wing. Long Spartan bipod under the other wing (gun also goes here when terrain gets steep or on pack out).

Lid has the usual shit, tags, zip ties, lighter, pyro putty, extra magazine, head lamp, extra batteries, snacks, etc.

Bottom sleeping bag compartment has game bags, orange merino beanie, leather mittens, down booties for cold feet, kill kit, paracord, multitool, extra tripod accessories like phone skope, alcohol wipes, lens cloths, etc.

Lightweight backpacking chair in shock cord as well as strapped with the buckles. Lightweight rear bag/pillow in the shock cord on lid, does not block access at all to the lid items.

Molinator front bag dangles loose so it can go onto the pack long ways, side ways, or completely out of the way depending on the shot used.

This is pretty much how it’s set up when going back to a base camp every night or a cabin, etc.

There’s room in the main bag for meat and plenty of strap left for a head/horns etc.

I changed it up covering a lot of miles in AZ on coues deer hunts the last 6 days.

I folded the wings away as we are base camping and don’t need all the volume for day trips.

I think I now prefer using it as a standard pack with the wings tucked between the frame and main bag when I don’t need them. I unzipped the sleeping bag compartment divider and can access everything from the bottom zipper and everything else goes in my lid and bino harness. Works fantastic.

It also can fit an entire coues deer and full days gear, snacks, puffy gear etc. without even needing the wings. Best part is you can put all your puffy gear in the sleeping bag compartment and zip it up to keep the blood off the items in the lower compartment

What sucks is they are all puffy snow pants. If my Sitka timberlines came in blaze I would buy them that way.
