The Shoot2hunt Podcast

Okay, this is Rokslide, so we get it (well, most of us ...) and some of the content confirmed what @Formidilosus and others have said about guides.

But let's cut the guy some slack - as he said, much of this work was pre-internet, pre-readily available ballistics testing, and so on.

He clearly has a lot of incredible experience, and has likely seen a lot more than many of us here.

And kudos to @Ryan Avery and @Unknown Munitions Jake for not backing away from the conversation, offering other points of view, and being respectful to their guest in the process.

Agreed. Now that I've finished it, it was great. I didn't realize grizzly encounters were such a regularity.

But I literally laughed out loud at the 300s have more whallop and being pissed about the 30-06 & Weaver scope part. It's like he had read the script on what a stereotypical "guide" is supposed to say about cartridge choice.

@Ryan Avery and @Unknown Munitions,
Are there any more details we are allowed to know about the suppressors that are coming? The Big Stick and the Whisper Pickle? Curious if we could know approximate timeframe and maybe target prices? I ask because I’m about to get into the suppressor game and want to know if this is something that will fit my budget.

Don't forget the tuna can. Can't wait to see the shape of that one...

I don’t wanna be the bad dog in this discussion, but in places where suppressors are widely available, the going rate is about 400 bucks, South Africa, New Zealand, etc.
What makes a suppressor in the US worth 1000 bucks
Generally titanium and the cost to machine/weld/print it.
You can get $400 suppressors here to but they're steel and/or aluminum.
