The Shed Dog

Friend of mine just had some Griffon pups. I hoping to turn one into a shed dog.

Are they the ones that look like giant poodles? I’ve heard they make awesome shed dogs if I’m thinking of the same one.

My pup has had antlers in her life since day one at home. She's brought me a few already and has chewed a spike bull down to a keychain i had to take away.

A shed dog was always a dream.....this little gal will do it all.20210213_140850.jpg

She pointed an elk calf last week Screenshot_20210530-073021_Gallery.jpg

I absolutely love working dogs.

Cool video. My dog is jealous, her owner sucks as a photographer.

Funny how the silver lab is a hot button topic. I’ve had yellow, black and chocolates. Got a silver last year because they were the cheapest labs I could find around here. She’s the same as all my other labs, but smarter. Got directionals around 8 months.

Haven’t trained on sheds but I might do that after she gets a duck season under her belt.

That’s because they are a detriment to the breed. There are enough genetic problems that good breeders try to breed out then to have idiots doing this disservice for color is sad. The color has nothing to do with the dogs intelligence if that’s was the case black labs would win out right as proven with the number of fc they have compared to other colors.

Got it.

Griffons have a lot of variation in them. They can go super shaggy(not desirable) to short tight coat(what my pup has). Some guys breeding for hardly any facial furnishings and some not carrying and having super hairy in the face dogs. It's a breed you definitely have to pay attention who you buy from. I did a lot of research and drove out to Wisconsin for my pup.
