The Scout Tripod
The Scout started out life designed to be a higher end tripod to hold electronic calls for predator hunters, and it definitely excels in that role. As we have gotten more time with it we’ve found that it’s much more than that; it’s very versatile, working well for chronographs, glassing, and shooting when sitting.
Basic Specs
Height: Prone to 35” tall
Weight: 1.9lbs with the included 25mm ball head and ARCA clamp

The Good

Is it an Aziak? Nope, doesn’t claim to be. But, it’s a solid, more budget friendly option that’s incredibly versatile. Can use as is or toss on a better head for shooting and have a great sitting tripod to shoot off of, or toss on a Tricer BP and have a great glassing tripod that comes in at 2lbs. Great option for getting a good budget friendly tripod out of the gate and upgrading heads down the road.
Feel free to hit me up with any questions!

The Good
- It’s light, coming in under 2lbs with the included ball head, 20oz for the tripod without the head
- Goes prone
- Non-integrated head. Has the standard 3/8” stud on top so you can swap out to your preferred shooting or glassing head if desired
- Price, $149.99. Cheaper than some other options out there
- Little shorter than some of the other tripods in this class. In some situations that extra height is needed
- The ball head, jack of all trades master of none. Too small to be a stable shooting head and not a great glassing head. You’re paying for the ball head no matter what, swapping to a different head eats into the cost savings compared to other options
