Any lithium or green energy I should be looking at to research?

It’ll be interesting to see if FTOC pops today. How the heck are you guys finding these stocks?

Reddit, Bloomberg (especially Gillian Tan), sec.gov EDGAR search for blank cheque then reading S-1 reports, ouija board 4 letter combinations, pick four random Scrabble tiles...

I've been watching Ilikia plc (ILIKF) but haven't taken a position. It is pretty volatile. The day traders on here could probably pick up some good scalps.

Does everyone here that discusses trading not dabble in cryptocurrencies? The returns that some of the lesser-known coins are dishing out are incredible. I would think that that in itself would have everyone here interested despite not believing in any long-term usefullness/worth in them...

I get a lot of my info and leads from the seeking alpha app. Their is so many green energy plays its hard to pick the next best buy, I'm just glad I got into a few early on.

Any chance GUSH, ERX, UCO, recover to anywhere near what they were a year ago? Looks like they’re on the up tick, looking for some long term plays. I’m not seeing much chatter about them tho while trying to do a little research.
I picked up a bunch of gush last fall when it dropped below 30 hoping it might eventually get back up to at least 400 to 500. who knows?

SPAC question -- made a small first foray into SPAC warrants, been holding PRCH and GOEV warrants since way pre-merger and doing well with both. Both are now redeemable, but the warrants are trading at a slight premium. Ex Canoo: 16.47 stock quote - 11.50 exercise = 4.97. Warrants are trading at 5.16. I know pre-merger the risk discount to the warrants, but I thought once redemption hit that delta would be 0. What am I missing? If anything I thought there would remain a slight liquidity premium to selling the warrants vs. going through the trouble of redeeming?

Do you guys recommend any ETFs or mutual funds in particular? I have set up kids' Roth IRAs through Fidelity for my boys and don't know that I want to swing trade their accounts.

There's the pain factor, time factor, and the increased taxes.
Those shares will be tied up while they are being converted. If there is sudden price movement, you will not be able to take advantage of it until the commons are issued back to you.

The commons that you get back will have a cost basis of $11.50 (or whatever the redemption price is) for tax purposes. The cost of the warrants is not applied. If you redeemed your warrants, then sold your shares for $16.50, you would be taxed on $5 capital gains even though your net profit is $5 minus your cost for the warrants.

You have to decide if the arbitrage is worth the other costs.
